Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted tax advisor to Leo Berwick clients, delivering high-quality, timely advice across complex transactions
- Advise global private equity, infrastructure, and strategic clients on transaction-related SALT matters
- Lead and support SALT diligence, structuring, modeling, and analysis across income/franchise, sales and use, property, and unclaimed property taxes
- Collaborate with Federal M&A Tax colleagues on engagement delivery, proposals, and post‑merger integration opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting quantitative and qualitative analysis of transaction financials
- Contribute to the growth and enhancement of the SALT practice, deal teams, and the broader firm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (a JD or Master’s is considered an asset)

Prior experience in state and local tax at a Big 4 firm, national firm, Big Law firm, or corporate tax department with a strong preference for M&A tax experience.

Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and research skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
