James Kalec is a Managing Director in Leo Berwick’s US M&A State and Local Tax Practice, focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions.
Before joining Leo Berwick, James was a Senior Manager in the Multistate Tax practice at a Big 4 Firm, where he focused primarily on M&A transactions and corporate restructurings in addition to state and local tax compliance and consulting work. James has over 15 years of State and Local Tax experience including M&A due diligence and restructuring, C-Corp and Pass-through compliance and consulting, and indirect tax consulting (sales tax, gross receipts tax, property tax, etc.)
In addition, James has significant experience serving clients in the life science and manufacturing industries.
