Leo Berwick is seeking a Managing Director – Financial Modeling to lead and expand our Energy and Infrastructure Financial Advisory Practice. In this pivotal leadership role, you will set the strategic direction for our financial modeling capabilities, drive innovation, and ensure that our work consistently delivers best-in-class insights and outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision for Leo Berwick’s financial modeling services, ensuring alignment with firm-wide goals and client needs
- Client Partnership: Act as a senior advisor to clients, understanding their strategic objectives, structuring transactions, and delivering actionable, data-driven insights.
- Modeling Oversight: Oversee the creation and review of sophisticated financial models for M&A transactions—ensuring they are accurate, robust, and tailored to each transaction’s unique requirements.
- Thought Leadership: Drive innovation in modeling techniques, incorporating the latest tools, technologies, and market best practices to enhance decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with tax, legal, and other advisory teams to ensure models are integrated into the broader transaction strategy.
- Quality Assurance: Establish rigorous review processes to ensure models meet the highest quality, regulatory, and client service standards.
- Team Development: Mentor and grow a team of modeling professionals, fostering technical excellence, commercial judgment, and professional growth.
- Business Development: Lead business development efforts, identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and representing the firm in the market.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in financial modeling, M&A advisory, investment banking, or infrastructure finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven experience leading complex, high-value transactions in infrastructure, renewables, and/or energy transition sectors.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a track record of generating new business and deepening existing relationships.
- Advanced technical skills in financial modeling and valuation, paired with the ability to simplify complex data for strategic decision-making.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
- The successful candidates must be able to travel with Canada and the USA.
