Dorian Hunt, Partner and Head of Renewable Energy
- Dorian Hunt joins Leo Berwick with over 20 years of experience in tax credit monetization, advising renewable energy project developers, regulated utilities, oil and gas companies and tax equity investors. Prior to joining Leo Berwick, Hunt was a leader in the power and utilities and energy transition tax practice at a Big 4 firm. Dorian is an industry-recognized thought leader and pioneer in the renewable energy, energy transition and federal credit spaces. Each year he helps developers and investors add multiple gigawatts of clean energy onto the US electrical grid. He is at the forefront of helping stakeholders understand the practical implications, challenges and opportunities attendant to building out the diverse energy technologies incentivized under the Inflation Reduction Act.
Joe Zenk, Cost Segregation Leader
- Joe Zenk comes to Leo Berwick with over 40 years of experience in market valuations, cost segregation, technical analyses for tax-related matters and more. Prior to joining Leo Berwick, Zenk was a managing director with a Big 4 firm, serving as the national cost segregation leader and capital projects leader in the power, utilities and renewable sectors. Zenk’s extensive experience will provide clients with expert advice on cost segregation matters and technical analysis on tax credits and incentives.
Steven Hurowitz, Canadian M&A Tax Leader
- Steven Hurowitz joins Leo Berwick with over 30 years of experience advising a wide array of private equity and infrastructure clients on transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and restructurings. With prior experience as the founder and key leader of a Big 4 M&A tax practice in Canada, Hurowitz will use his extensive Canadian tax proficiency and insights to elevate Leo Berwick’s clients across industries by enabling them to make the best investment decisions.
John Troth, Partner, M&A Tax
- John Troth brings deep expertise in U.S. tax advisory and structuring services for mergers, acquisitions and restructurings to the Leo Berwick team, including in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
