Carlos is a Senior Associate in Leo Berwick’s Tax Insurance Advisory practice, where he focuses on transactional tax issues, renewable energy transactions, and tax credit matters.
Prior to joining Leo Berwick, Carlos served as a Senior Attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he advised the government on significant federal tax matters involving corporate, partnership, and international tax issues.
He also has prior experience in the M&A tax practice of a Big Four accounting firm and is a member of the tax faculty at Miami Dade College where he teaches corporate and partnership taxation, federal tax procedure, and business law.
