Deanna Walton Harris is a partner in Leo Berwick’s US M&A Tax Practice. In that role, Deanna advises the firm’s clients on federal tax matters relating to partnerships, C corporations, and S corporations, including acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings of those entities. She is a frequent author of articles discussing those areas.

Before joining the firm, Deanna spent more than 20 years in both the corporate and passthroughs groups at KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice. Prior to that, she spent four years in the Passthroughs & Special Industries division at the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service. She brings extensive experience and deep expertise in partnership taxation (subchapter K), S corporation taxation (subchapter S), and as well as corporate taxation (subchapter C).
