Kourtney Schott advises on state and local tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and local tax developments. She helps assess our target companies’ SALT burden and recommend solutions to clients that support their overall deal objectives to ensure that their filing positions are consistent with sound business practices and states’ applicable tax laws, post-acquisition. Kourtney also helps our clients transform SALT risk and compliance into a business advantage by aligning their state tax plan with the investment strategy.

She has experience with issues related to abandoned and unclaimed property, income and franchise tax, payroll and employment tax, credits and incentives, and indirect tax. Before Leo, Kourtney worked at a Big 4 accounting firm’s Denver office.
