Spencer Durden is a Vice President in Leo Berwick’s M&A Tax practice.
Spencer focuses on private equity clients and modeling/structuring the tax consequences of their portfolio transactions. Spencer works with clients to advise them through all parts of the deal cycle from transaction structuring and cash tax modelling to due diligence and integration/exit planning. Spencer’s background includes working in tax-advantaged opportunities/industries such as renewable energy projects, UP-Cs/TRAs, qualified opportunity zones, real estate investment trusts, bankruptcy and distressed debt scenarios, and entities taxed as partnerships in a myriad of industries.
Before joining Leo Berwick as Vice President, Spencer worked at a Big 4 accounting firm in their M&A tax practice in their San Francisco and Chicago offices.
